Privacy

This site runs the slot polls for our pickup volleyball group in Mechelen. It is run by the group's organizer, who you can reach at info@asura.be.

What we store

• Your first name, last name and email address.
• How you log in: the account id Google or Microsoft gives us (not your Google/Microsoft password), and/or your password, stored only as a one-way hash (Argon2).
• Your votes in the polls and when you made them.
• A login cookie, needed to keep you logged in. No tracking or advertising cookies.
• Like any web server, technical logs (IP address, pages visited) for security and fixing problems.

Why

Only to run the polls: to show who can play when and to contact you about your account (confirmation and password emails). We don't send newsletters and never sell or share your data. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in organizing the group's games (GDPR art. 6(1)(f)).

Who can see it

• Other logged-in players see your first name and last initial (e.g. "Jan D.") and your votes in a poll's results.
• The organizer sees your full name and email address.
• Services that help run the site: our server host (the server and all data are in Brussels, Belgium), our email provider (Namecheap) for sending emails, and Google or Microsoft if you log in with them. Namecheap, Google and Microsoft are US companies; what they handle (the emails we send you, your login with them) may be processed outside the EU under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

How long

Your account: until you delete it. Polls and their votes: deleted 12 months after the poll was created. Unconfirmed signups and password links: deleted after 24 hours.

Your rights

You can see and correct your name on your account page, and delete your account and votes there at any time. For a copy of your data or any other question, email info@asura.be. You can also complain to the Belgian data protection authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit).
